'The Hands That Built America' has been voted Best Song by the influential Las Vegas Film Critics Society.

The song, written at the invitation of director Martin Scorsese, features on the soundtrack to his new film 'Gangs of New York' - and is one of two new songs on U2's The Best of 1990-2000.

Daniel Day Lewis, who stars in Gangs of New York, was also voted Best Actor.
