U2 have confirmed that they will be performing at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm, Sweden next month.

The MTV EMA's will be hosted by Wyclef Jean and other acts joining U2 on stage include Backstreet Boys, Moby, Robbie Williams, Spice Girls and Ronan Keating.

Robbie Williams and British pop diva/DJ Sonique lead nominees for the 2000 MTV EMAS, with four nominations each. Williams' Rock DJ and Sonique's Feel So Good are head to head in the category of Best Song.

Several artists have received three nominations each including Britney Spears, Madonna, Eminem, Travis, Bon Jovi, and Spice Girl Mel C.

After being broadcast live across Europe on November 16, the MTV EMAs are set to air in the US on Monday, November 20.
